Programs of 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival announces

    The organizing committee of 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) announced programs and activities to the media at press conference on Sep.9th. 2015 edition of festival presents 46 programs (25 from abroad, 21 from local) , and 10 exhibitions.

    Ballet La Bayadere

    The opening performance covers original musical Jews in Shanghai produced by Heng-Yuan-Xiang and contemporary ballet Echoes of Eternity co-produced by Shanghai Grand Theatre and Shanghai Ballet while ballet La Bayadere by Russia Mariinsky Theatre closes the festival programs. Top world artists,troupes will step onto Shanghai stage,including Itzhak Perlman,Frank Peter Zimmermam,Vadim Repin, Sylvie Guillem,Russian Mariinsky Theatre, San Francisco Ballet,Momix American Dance Theater,Cloud Gate Dance Theatre 2.

    To commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory of the Anti-Fascism War and Chinese Anti-Japanese War,Chinese Soldiers,The Flowers of War,Drama Ancestral Secret Recipe, Yang Jingyu and Zhao Yiman will be presented on the stage.

    Excellent traditional Chinese operas are specially put on stage,including Peking Opera Emperor Kangxi,Master Version of The Peony Pavilion,Yu Opera Jiao Yu Lu, Taizhou Luantan Historical Drama Qi Jiguang, Huju Opera Deng Shichang.

    Chinese original programs highlight the festival with a bunch of good works including Opera Su Wu of the Han Dynasty, Drama Jujube Tree,Drama Qu Yuan, Under Siege by Yang Liping, Eight by TAO Dance Theater.

    10 exhibitions will be put on show during the festival.Shanghai Art Fair 2015, The Exhibition of Works by Chinese Famous Contemporary Artists, Mawangdui Han Tombs Art Exhibition, The Artistic Conception of Faith——India Art Exhibition,Tibet Cultural Relics & Treasures Exhibition.

    2015 is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the 65th anniversary of Sino-Indian diplomatic relations .This year,we will respectively hold Tibet Culture Week and India Culture Week. Such as Tibet Cultural Relics & Treasures Exhibition, Tibet Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and the grand poetic song and dance show Wild Tibet, which sufficiently show the special styles of music, dance, costume, musical instruments, drama tunes for voices and epic form all ethnic groups living in the snow area will be presented. In India Culture Week, it will include India Art Exhibition -- The Artistic Conception of Faith, new-created musical Bollywood Love Story, and Concert by Rajasthan Josh.

    Besides, the 9th Shanghai International Magic Festival and Competition, the 9th Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Arts Festival and the 17th Zhujiajiao Water Village Music Festival, the first Shanghai International Comedy Festival will meet with the audience.

    The 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival will create a carnival——Art Space to make it possible for more Shanghai citizens to get the chances to enjoy the world arts at Zhongshan Park, Century Square and other outdoor stages and theaters in 17 districts across Shanghai.

    For this year, R.A.W.!Land will host several interactive workshop, lectures that touch on topics such as stage performing, irecting, new media technology learning in hopes of a more interactive way to inform audience academically.

    Forum settles its theme on “Arts in the Digital Age——Present and Future”. The forum is divided into one theme forum, five sub-forums and one Sino-British forum.

    The 17th CSIAF will be held in InterContinental Shanghai Puxi and Shanghai Theatre Academy from Oct. 15th to 21st with hundreds of performing agencies from all over the world to attend.

    Two ways you can buy the tickets. You can either book the ticket from this website http://www.ticket2010.com/default_en.aspx, which requires an online bank account to pay the money, or go to 1th Floor,NO.1 Building,1222 PingXingGuan Rd, Shanghai China. Shanghai East Ticket Co.,Ltd, to buy the tickets. Different shows will be held in different locations.
