    Countries 国家[guó jiā]

    [zhōng guó]
    中国 China

    [měi guó]
    美国 America

    [yīng guó]
    英国 Britain

    [jiā ná dà]
    加拿大 Canada

    [ào dà lì yà]
    澳大利亚 Australia

    [xīn xī lán]
    新西兰 New Zealand

    [rì běn]
    日本 Japan

    [hán guó]
    韩国 Korea

    [tài guó]
    泰国 Thailand

    [é guó]
    俄国 Russia

    [fǎ guó]
    法国 France

    [dé guó]
    德国 Germany



    Add --(人rén)after the country name, means people from that country, eg. 中国人[zhōng guó rén](Chinese),美国人[měi guó rén](American),加拿大人[jiā ná dà rén](Canadian)。

    I’m British. What about you?

    I’m Japanese.


    [nǐ qù guò měi guò mā]
    A: 你去过美国吗?
    Have you been to America?


    [qù guò, wǒ hěn xǐ huān nà lǐ]
    B: 去过。我很喜欢那里。
    Yes, I like there very much.


    [nǐ qù guò hán guò mā]
    A: 你去过韩国吗?
    Have you been to Korea?


    [qù guò]
    B: 去过。
    Yes, I have.

    A: 你喜欢韩国吗?
    Do you like Korea?
